Well how are they breeding like mad if the fry are getting eaten? the native fish are suffering more than the snakeheads. As pointed out in this vid the snakehead is good at hiding in small caves making it more easier for the fry to survive than the normal shaped fish.

actually the native fish eat the snakehead fry as a replacement of the food the adult snakeheads eat. nature always keeps things balanced no matter what. those idiots are just killing everything out of stupidity.

They might not be able to kill the big ones but they sure can stop the fry from growing up so yes they can eliminate them.

Why kill all the fish in the lake? In England we had a fish problem and we electrifyed the canals just enouph to knock the fish out and then you just scoop up the ones you don’t want in there. Oh yeah it’s the American way to just kill everything isn’t it.

these idiots are overeacting cuz some dumbass scientist from maryland said they can live out of water for 4days but in reality, only 2-7 hours. and they cant walk on land. how often do u see fishes walking on land looking for a new pond or lake? anyways how does it affect u assholes even if bass is destroyed? u cant go fishing anymore? the bass would rather die than be constantly hooked out of the water again and again by a bunch of hicks

forgive me if i’m wrong but surely it would have been better to ‘electric net’ the lake ie: run an electric current through the water and that will only stun the fish then you can put the ‘good’ fish back unharmed and remove the snakeheads,true it wont remove all of them but it would keep the numbers down poison seems like taking a sledgehammer to crack a walnut
