hahahah holy shit, for pikes? pikes are legal to own here, tehre is no snake heads by me in the wild, just snapping turtles but snapping turtles are just illegal to own no illegal to live here, its very weird. On top of that we arn’t allowed to own any pythons here either or any constricting snakes that get somewhat big.

they’re gonna ban everything in the end. they think about all the negativity of just about everything. u shouldnt give out info about banned fish near your lakes. watch out in case some dumbass tries to poison that lake like they do everywhere. in california, they tried to blow up a pond just to get rid of a few pikes.

eah that 10 year old snake head story was by me, i believe they gave him a partial pardon but tehy still wanna kill his fish by freezing it to death. They banned snapping turtles over hear as well, which is dumb because there are plenty of snapping turtles 5 blocks away from me in the lake.

the DEC is a bunch of idiots who cant even tell the difference between any fish species. its their responsibility to take care of them but instead, they poison lakes and ponds just to try getting rid of something pratically harmless. instead, they kill more natives than snakeheads do. im sure u must be one of those idiots

who the hell was talking about releasing snakeheads? if i had one i would keep it. im a responsible fish keeper so dont asume that anyone who owns a snakehead would just throw it out like that. northerns are far less agressive than the tropical kinds( the kind in the video “snakehead vs big ass bass”). king snakeheads can kill native species, but guess what. they die in our cold climate water. only northern snakeheads can survive but they’re much less harmful to the native fish. u dont know shit

There are plenty of people who do know what happens. Just because you don’t doesn’t mean it’s ok to be releasing invasive species into the wild. Invasives do all sorts of damage all over the world. Do a little research before posting stupid comments.

If you watch the video Scott Broom Invasive Species you’ll see that snakeheads had little effect on the ecosystem.

well did u know they also pay back the food they eat? snakeheads mate up to 5 times a year and make up to 150k baby snakeheads. most of them are then eaten by bigger fishes as a replacement of food eaten by adult snakeheads. do some research before u start acting like an idiot. stop reading the fucking tabloids and start paying attention to some real facts before u make an ass of yourself.

Hey retard FLAMINGFURY.
Snakehead is an invase species from ASIA. It destroys entire ecosystems by feeding on large amounts of smaller fish such as perch and sunfish, which in turn leaves the larger fish like pike and muskie with little to eat, and all in all destroys. I saw one of these fish in my marina and it took down a duck.

i dont know much of snakeheads but my snakehead survived about 24 hours on my floor, it was stuck to it so i had to water around it to get it of the floor… i know that becous my mom didnt dare to pick it up when i was away…soooo yeah it CAN survive pretty long on land…ps..the beast still lives, check my vid its the one there

Extremely hardy even in the worst water condition & got nasty bites! DON’T WALK but slither like eels when on dry land. Nat Geo & Maryland scientists had preposterous reports, snakehead walked on dry land & survived 4days out of water, using insecticide poisoning entire lake killing more fishes than snakeheads! Failed to consider repercussion of such action thinking the results are inconsequential. Lakes lead to sea & effects maybe accumulatively disastrous with like-minded irresponsible people.

Good shot! Alot ignorant fools are mislead by outrageous reports that northern snakehead can live outa water for 3days? LOL! Even walked on land? Those are idiots i tell u…i caught 4 of them, 1st fish died the moment i landed the 4th fish. Max they survived few hours on land AND they definately can’t walk on land! So called scientist really made themselve look retard publishing irresponsible reports. Haha! These are aggressive fish by nature & yes they deliver nasty bites. Comparable to pikes!
