it CAN breathe air and it doesn’t walk it… well the video calls it “scooting” i’d call it squirming or slithering but only for a short distance usually less than 3 miles, farther if it rains.

Snake head fish can’t survive or travel any consequential distance on land. Maybe they’re confusing them with the similar looking bichir which CAN breathe atmospheric air via lungs, and can also travel quite some distance (for a fish) on land. An invasive species appears and everyone goes crazy and assumes it has all these special abilities. YES it’s a dominant freshwater predator and YES it will compete with native species, but NO it does not have air-breathing land-walking abilities.

those news reporters are complete idiots. they show a video of a giant snakehead and they’re calling it a northern snakehead. that bitch coudnt find anything important to report so she just threw up some crap out of the blue. there werent even any snakeheads in louissiana so wtf is she doing there?

like as u said they dont know shxt bout this fish.
I’m from the sout east asia. lots of snakeheads over here. cant seem to figure out what gave them the idea these snake heads can walk on land and breathe air, never seen 1 in my life, never seen 1 that could wiggle all their way to the next pond, good fighting/ game fish, as good as the pacus
